Yesterday we went out to the chicken coop and found this humungo green egg. Look at the size of the normal brown egg next to this gargantuan. I really have no idea how the poor chicken layed this. It was beyond heavy.
Patrick is holding both eggs in his hand.
Both eggs in the dish.
Once cracked open we found a double yolker. Is that counted as one egg or two?
Isn't he sweet? Tae's birthday isn't until Tuesday but we celebrated with some family and friends today. I can't believe he's five already. I got very sentimental today looking at his scrapbook. We have tons of pictures of him when he was a baby in Korea. His foster mom took him to the parks all the time and the pictures are in the Springtime. All of the cherryblossoms and Azaleas were in bloom. He was the happiest arriving at the airport. Gave us a big smile and snuggled into my chest and fell asleep. Where did the time go?
Tae wanted to help bake his cake. Oh yeah-funfetti cake.
And before you all jump on my back about making my kid a pink cake, it's what he wanted. He said "no chocolate-I want Strawberry frosting." Well strawberry doesn't come in any color except pink and I didn't have time to make homemade today. I don't think I know how to make Strawberry frosting anyway. And of course it needed to be topped with sprinkles. Tae was thrilled today when his Sunday school class sang "Happy Birthday" to him.
Nothing is better than the excitement of a birthday.
Except licking the frosting off of your number 5 candle.

Or playing with your new Bongo drums.
Unless it's playing your guitar while someone else plays the Bongos.
The spaghetti making machine was a big hit too. We had green spaghetti for dinner. Don't they look like green beans though?
I found more patterns for the felt food I've been making and hoping to sell. This weekend I worked on chicken legs, bowtie pasta, ravioli, peas in a pod and a donut. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
Wow-and this is my 100th post! I can't believe I have that much to say!
